Latenite Automatic

There is something immensely powerful about Latenite Automatic, whether its the strong vocals or the tireless feel to each song, Jay Brown is like a dark electro God. One thing I particularly love about him is his bio: "This is what a band of vampires might sound like after they've been up all night snorting powdered blood and drinking aged hemoglobin." because it is actually quite accurate, the darkness of his music mixed with endless electronic layers makes a sinister fantasy play out in your mind. Unfortunately, Latenite Automatic has only released three songs from his new album ”They Treated Us Like Animals And That’s What We Became”, set to be released in spring, and I can already tell it is going to be an experience.

'Thief in the Night', the most recent release from Latenite Automatic, is lead by powerful vocals which are very similar to Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. In fact, the entire song has a NIN feel to it, bar the strong industrial sound. I could only describe the sound as a soup of deep, vibrating synthesizers with chunky beats. It is the sort of song you would find if Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory decided to make music and you begun to explore the experimentation rooms.
